I felt so happy when I got invited to go along on a little Jeep Adventure after we finished the AMP Camp.
It was a 2 hour trip and I admit that I was impressed with the abilities those jeeps have. The company was wonderful, from the owners of the RV Park - Dave and Missy, to Randy and CJ to Jeff and July. Beautiful views and I ended up with a fun memory and nice photos ♥️ Sadly howeve, I lost the ability for now to post photos as something with google and their cookies is not working with my Apple 😉
Now who of you craves Cookies 🍪 or Apples 🍏?
Then came the next Jeep outing after the Bootcamp finished. This one I lucked out again as Julie and Jeff are just such wonderful humans who invited me to join again. This time the group was 7 Jeeps and one side by side strong when we left Mesquite Trails RV Resort. Sadly one Jeep ran into some warning lights issues so Missy and Dave in their Side by Side guided them back home. 6 Jeeps finished the 5 to 6 hour outing, which included incredible scenery, a fun steep decent and a very nice narrow canyon. I wish I could express how lucky I feel to experience all this.
I have to do a separate blog post on how much my life has changed, brought back hope and joy since we started this journey 2 years ago. It is shocking really what a drastic change it brought.
Anyway, I thought that would finish my look into off road adventures but Missy and Dave had other ideas. They invited me to a Side by Side Poker Run. It was hosted my an off-road club a town over and benefited the Make A Wish Foundation. Many of you know this one is close to our hearts as we benefited from them when our son got so sick at age 5.
The Poker Run created groups of side by sides and we had to make 5 check points. At each stop one had to pull a ‘card’ (chip) and it was written down on a paper. Who ever had the best hand at the finish line won a price. The route they chose was breathtaking. We stopped at the famous Thelma and Louise Cliff, we traveled through canyons, over plateaus, vistas. Just gorgeous. We stopped at the Nevada/Arizona border, followed by the Nevada, Arizona, Utah border. At the finish line there was music, food, a silent auction, an open auction and raffle tickets.
Our time here in Mesquite Nevada will come to an end on the 31st but we will be leaving with memories we will cherish, and new friendships that will be a gift for years to come. As it stands we already booked our month for next year.
