Maine - ❤️ Acadia, Thunder Hole & Our Goodbye Dinner

Maine - ❤️ Acadia, Thunder Hole & Our Goodbye Dinner

Acadia National Park is beautiful and I am grateful we were able to explore some of it.
Thunder Hole was recommended to us and it provided a beautiful afternoon. We arrived 2 hours before high tide and we settled unto a rock overlooking it and relaxed for the following 2 hours. Beautiful scenery, perfect temperatures and most wonderful people-watching opportunity.
Now I did mention in a previous post that I am not a fan of crowded places and of course most National Parks are very busy. But we timed it fairly well as the summer crowds are twindling - yay!!!
This said, since there is so much to explore I would recommend a two week stay might be beneficial to explore both, Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Trying to schedule a balance of activity and downtime is still a struggle for me.

I am thinking living in Maine could be perfection. You can go crazy and stay busy all summer but then have many months in the winter to huddle down and reset. Sounds pretty good to me.

So yes we loved Bar Harbor and Acadia. Again, people were very nice and Maine seems to fully embrace tourism. I however are glad to see the tourists leave so we can spread our wings…haha

On our last night we went right across the street to have our goodbye dinner at the ‘Bar Harbor Lobster Pound’. Yummy, yummy, yummy. I had my beloved Lobster Roll and Ron had the Haddock Sandwich. Finishing up with ice cream.

Great memories were made during our 8 days here.
