Maine ❤️ A Hurricane Named Lee? Inland Bound.
We have been monitoring Hurricane Lee for over a week now and I admit with quite a bit of fascination on my part. Mostly because hurricanes don't usually make it to New England and Maine. They might head that way but the colder water up north makes them turn away sooner or later. So the weather channels were all over the place with projection models but in the end, Lee proved that climate change can change everything. Ironically the colder water seems to be warmer than normal and Lee is aiming much closer toward the coast than we are all comfortable with.
However some excitement is showing in some humans. Meteorologists are descending from all over the US onto New England as several even state excitement since they have never seen this other than learn about it in school. I guess half a century ago one did hit Maine. So it is not an absolute isolated event.
Well, Ron and agreed we should start our journey West now since we have to head this way sooner then later anyway as we have a date with Brad & Hall, and Renegade in the beginning of October.
Unrelated to ‘Lee’ I still was hoping we could get a couple of days in to visit with Ginny and Paul our new friends we made in Eastport, the place that stole my heart. When I contacted Ginny and looked at their address I realized they were just 1 1/2 hours from Boothbay. So we packed up and off we went and took a pretty drive west yesterday.
Now the one part I was nervous about was how we can fit Lucy Lou, but this will be a new post. It is Thursday today and Lee is suppose to make an appearance this weekend. Maybe a trip to the store is in order for me today.…..
