Today my wonderful husband treated us to massages. Mine was scheduled for 9 am and his for 10 am.
There were several massages to pick from at this Spa, located in the Resort and just a 5 min walk from Lucy. I chose the Neuromuscular Treatment so he could focus mainly on my mid back that has been causing me quiet a bit of pain those last 2 years. I did indeed have deep tissue massages before and know they can be painful but I wasn’t quite prepared for some instense pain that felt good however.
Well at the moment it was painful, especially the vacuum cupping felt like poison was sucked out of me. Sadly since we weren’t having leeches suck my blood out it is still in me 😂 Neverless it shook up the massage therapist as he asked me if I was on blood thinners. Me knowing I turn red and bruise easily pacified him by saying yes cupping does that to me.
After 60 minutes I got up and felt for the first time in a long time that I stood straight. Incredible. All the pain was worth it.
We finished the afternoon with some sauna, steam room, swimming and spa time.
Now it is just 19:45 and we are in bed and I have an ice pack on my back that is styling a large red and blue bruise covering the area that has caused me pain for so long.
Oh the things we do to feel better 😉
