We are back north in Longmont for 5 nights, well two nights now as we already spend three nights here. This will complete our stay here at this campground for the year 2022 as one is allowed 14 days here per calendar year.
This time around we saw the Miniature Horse Competition, more Barrel Racing, Farmers Market, Home Improvement Show plus an Antique Auction event. One truly needs no transportation when camping here as everything is in walking distance. Even shopping, as a Target is less then 1 mile away.
Now while I truly embrace our new lifestyle it doesn’t take away the day by day responsibilities, as well as challenges. The difference is that we have more time now to focus on what matters as the distractions and responsibilities are at a much smaller scale then when we were stationary. The more your own, the more things you have to look after, they more time you loose on just ordinary upkeeps, repairs etc etc.
Time truly is the most precious value we have and I dislike wasting it on nonessential stuff.
This said, minimalistic living does not mean you are freeing yourself from all of life’s challenges, not at all. You still deal with life’s obstacles. May it be health issues, heartbreaks, life and even death. They are always a part of life. No running away from those things but trying to turn towards living in a way that makes sense to us with the time we have left.
If you were given one more year to live what would you want to do? Or what would you change?
