Texas - Almost to San Antonio

We are close but did not quiet make it due to us not wanting to arrive when it got dark since we will have to unload Rosalina before we try to park Lucy on the Lackland Base for a while.

The day started out bright and early as our pups were ready for an outing. We really can’t complain and the AOK RV Park, as a Passport America member the night, with full hookups cost us $17. It was a simple process of self check in and leaving an envelope when leaving. I loved how there was a big field with 4 donkeys in it but a sign on the fence said ‘warning - longhorns’.

We made it as far as Lincoln, TX as we did stop for lunch as well as coffee and cake time.

Today I drove a bit faster then yesterday as in moving up to 65 mph (from 100 kmh to 110 kmh for my fellow metric peoples). Lucy seemed to like both speeds equally and I love the cruise control.

What really surprised us was the large amount of windmills we saw, in the hundreds if not thousands. What we also saw and sadly neither Ron or I got a picture was the large boneyard we passed with old windmill wings stacked one after the other. It covered a lot of acreage.

Now we are settled in the Truckstop next to semi trucks who are as long as we are, and a much shorter looking A-Class, which is due to it not having a trailer 😉

I for one are beat as I got to drive a lot today and even managed to pass a couple cars. Confidence is climbing 😂
