Sweet Rosalina (my car) was finally released from Lou (our trailer). She is muddy, as this is what she was when we loaded her up on March 3 in very muddy terrain, but she sounded so happy when we started her up. I took her on her first outing to go shopping as we needed supplies. While I was gone Ron took Lucy and Lou on a drive again, a short drive, to park Lou in a storage facility next to the Family Camp. By the time I got back Lucy was back in the overflow lot and all set up again.
We will be staying in this spot until Friday now as Daniel, the camp Host, informed us that it be now the soonest day we can get to our more permanent site. This is fine as we like our spot and the only thing we are missing is having full hookup for now. But we will make it work.
I love sitting here and seeing all the planes take of and land. It is the only sound we hear infrequently because other then that it is so calm here and the birds are chirping away all day. Another thing I beyond love about this base is how very clean everything is. The grounds, the laundry and bathroom facilities are perfect. No dog poop anywhere in sight as we all pick up. It is truly a pleasure walking around.
In the afternoon we headed to Niki’s and the 35 min drive was a bit easier to maneuver in Rosalina but darn 35 min in CO was much more relaxing to drive then 410 and 90 here in SAT for 35 min.
Niki treated us to yummy Jambalaya and all 4 pups plus cats did so well together. Keetna was definitely the higher energy but even he settled down eventually. I credit Niki as she is the ultimate animal whisperer, no question about that.
